A huge congratulations to i-sense Deputy Director, Prof Molly Stevens, for being elected Foreign Member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), when earlier this month the NAE elected 86 new members and 18 foreign members.

The membership acknowledges engineers who have made an outstanding contribution to "engineering research, practice, or education, including, where appropriate, significant contributions to the engineering literature" and to "the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology, making major advancements in traditional fields of engineering, or developing/implementing innovative approaches to engineering education."

Prof Molly Stevens, who is Professor of biomedical materials and regenerative medicine at Imperial College London, was elected for contributions to materials-based approaches for tissue regeneration and biosensing.
