i-sense Director, Professor Rachel McKendry, joins leading EPSRC-funded scientists in explaining their innovative engineering and physical sciences research which, in the future, will improve people’s lives through better mental and physical health.
Of the many thousands of healthcare research projects that EPSRC invests in, they highlight four in this film. Rachel explains her vision for novel digital early warning systems for infectious diseases, by combining web data with mobile phones.
Currently the EPSRC invests over £649 million into health relevant research and collaborates on over 520 different healthcare projects.
