Congratulations to "FindMe", who took the Challenge 2: App Pioneer runner-up prize in our Rosalind Franklin Appathon for Women in STEMM!

In health and education, there is a significant focus on pre-school intervention in order to help young children with autism overcome severe challenges.

Sue Fletcher-Watson, Developmental Psychologist at the University of Edinburgh, led in the development of the Findme gaming app, which builds on research into technological interventions for autism to address two important social communication abilities: ‘Looking at People’ and ‘Following Social Cues’ (e.g. pointing, looking).

By harnessing technology to improve these skills in children with autism and boost their social interaction and language abilities at an early age, Findme supports them in reaching their full potential.
