i-sense have up to £500K available to fund between 5 and 8 short projects, themed around an ‘Early Warning Sensing System for Influenza’
Pandemic influenza is rated as one of the top threats to global health and a growing challenge for researchers in the UK and worldwide. This funding will give you a unique opportunity to address this global challenge through strong collaboration and become part of a national centre for research excellence.
Exploratory projects are required to be new, short (3-12 month), cross-disciplinary projects. They should involve researchers from two or more partner institutions (UCL, Imperial, LSHTM, Newcastle, Surrey, PHE) and one of the partners must be a current IRC academic.
